Tregedna Lodge and our lovely new room, The Loft, are fully licensed and approved for the solemnisation of civil marriages and the registration of civil partnerships. At Tregedna, we offer you the perfect space to hold your wedding celebrations surrounded by family and friends in a tastefully converted traditional barn setting.
With the choice of two function rooms, you can choose which room suits you best for the actual ceremony and allows one room to be set up ready, decorated and ready to 'wow' your guests for the wedding breakfast.

Situated in a rural country setting and just a short distance from Maenporth beach, Tregedna Lodge is a converted barn providing the perfect venue for your wedding reception to complement one of the most important days of your lives. A perfect setting ensures you and your guests enjoy a memorable occasion for your special day.
At Tregedna Lodge, we understand that your venue is special and we aim to be as flexible as possible to ensure you have everything you need. We can offer you a 'blank canvas' for your reception to decorate and set up the barn as you like. Comfortably seating 90-100 guests, we will ensure that your wedding reception goes without a hitch!
You also have the option to do as much or as little as you like regarding organising the tables, linens etc, as some outside caterers are happy to arrange all this for you.
The main hall at Tregedna is on the first floor level and is approximately 6.7m by 15.4m. We say that the hall sits up to 100 guests for the formal wedding breakfast and in our experience, previous weddings have invited additional guests for the evening entertainment (disco/barn dance etc).
Flexibility is our mantra and we are more than happy for the prospective bride/groom to visit us prior to their special day to plan their wedding further be it with their caterer, florist, photographer, decoration planner....for as many times as required. There is no extra charge for use of the garden and outside area, allowing for a marquee to be erected if desired.
The Lodge hire period is 12 noon on Friday to 12 noon on Sunday (assuming it is a Saturday wedding), allowing the time to setup/decorate and then enjoy the space on the day following their wedding, perhaps for an additional get together. The lodge can be hired for additional days as required by arrangement.
Inside the Lodge...
The lodge is the perfect blank canvas to be decorated exactly how you want it. The six traditional main barn beams are happy to be bejewelled, draped in pretty lights, fabric and bunting.....the choice is yours.
With central heating throughout, the Lodge is perfect for your wedding reception no matter what time of year you decide to be married. If the weather does turn cold unexpectedly the heating can be turned on and the room warmed in a short time, ensuring your guests are greeted with a warm welcome!
We are happy to liaise with your chosen caterer to ensure your arrangements run smoothly, and there is a purpose made bar area at the lodge.
The car park (there is plenty of car parking at the Lodge) and garden area are also accessed from this first floor level and there are toilets on this level too.
Accommodation is included...
Accommodation is included in the price - 24 bed spaces on the two nights - Friday and Saturday (assuming it is a Saturday wedding!). The lodge hire period is over a 48 hour period - from 12 noon on Friday until 12 noon on Sunday. Our accommodation is located on the ground floor level and comprises of 24-bed spaces in a range of five rooms 3 dormitory style rooms with comfortable, full adult size bunk beds, comfortable fully sprung mattresses. One room sleeps two people, one room sleeps six people and the third dorm rooms sleep up to eight people. There are a further two rooms, both with a double bed and a bunk bed.
All of the beds are made up for your arrival.
On this level we have a series of toilets, four shower rooms and a laundry room.
The lodge can be hired for additional days/extra nights accommodation if family/friends wish to extend their stay, for an additional charge.
Space outside...
There is space for a marquee directly outside the lodge which creates additional space for guests to mingle, for a dance floor, or even a skittle alley.
The outside area and grass lawn allows additional overspill during the wedding and offers the opportunity for hired outdoor board games to be provided to keep the younger wedding guests entertained.
Cornwall is one of the most magical places to be married at any time of the year with its dramatic coastline and beautiful beaches and Tregedna Lodge is the perfect complement to your wedding day.
Security...
Rest assured that once your decorations are in place, the lodge can be locked up so there's no need to worry.
A Versatile Space...whatever the weather!
Your plans are in place and the day is drawing near, but the one element that you can't control is the weather! We all hope for blue sky and sunshine for your special day, but should wet and windy weather prevail, the celebrations can easily be catered for inside the Lodge, and guests can enjoy the outside space once the sun comes out!
